The online dictionary, Word Spy defines corpocracy (kor.PAWK.ruh.see) as "a society in which corporations have substantial economic and political power." The current form of governance in the United States, then, would have to be described as an extreme corpocracy, operating within the larger milieu of a plutocracy.
