Go With the Most Efficient Intervention Possible
An efficient intervention is one where the act of protest, whichever one you might choose, requires very little effort on your part, yet it has a large impact on the target of your protest. An inefficient intervention is one where you must invest a great deal of time, effort, psychic energy, and/or money, in order to launch your protest, yet it has a negligible impact on the target audience. Writing long, carefully structured letters to public officials who just throw them away without a thought is one example of an inefficient protest. We need to avoid inefficient interventions, because they can quickly burn us out without accomplishing anything.
