Police Go After Threat-Making Victim While Giving the Instigating Perp a Free Pass in Mississippi
Threatening Letters Sent to Dog Owners

An investigation was under way Tuesday to identify the person or persons who sent threatening letters to two Halstead Road homes.
Kristen Holley said she found the letter in her mailbox Sunday, and then learned that a neighbor had received the same letter. Both letters threatened harm to dogs, saying, "If you want to keep those... barking dogs alive, shut them the... up. Get the hint????????????"
Holley told police that no one has called her to complain about her dogs and she brings them inside her home about 9:30 each night.
The neighbor, however, doesn't own any dogs but asked police to keep the letter on file. Both letters contained the same language. Anyone with information about the incident should call Ocean Springs police at 875-2211
