Akron man accused of killing father's pet

AKRON: A 40-year-old Akron man is accused of slamming his father's dog to the ground and killing the animal.
David R. Parker, who faces a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty, was being held at the Summit County Jail.
Police said Parker threw the Pomeranian to the ground repeatedly early Tuesday because he was tired of the dog barking at him whenever he came home. Parker lives on Baldwin Road in southeast Akron with his father.
Parker dumped his father's pet on Massillon Road.
